The Department of Economics and Management mourns after its honorary doctor Stephen A. Ross. Professor Ross was one of the founding fathers of modern finance and his Arbitrage-Pricing-Theory represents one of the cornerstones in Asset Pricing. Furtehrmore, Professor Ross developed far-reaching and pioneering models for valuing derivatives and the understanding of capital structure decisions of corporations. Recently, he was the Franco-Modigliani-Professor for Financial Economics at MIT. Prof. Ross passed away on March 3rd, 2017. Our deepest sympathy and condolences go the entire family of Prof. Stephen A. Ross.
